Dasom's interest in time was sparked by capturing moments through photography. The instant a wave crashes onto the shore creates dynamic patterns in the sand, only to be reshaped by the next wave, revealing the passage of time. Waves, formed by the invisible motion of the wind, collide momentarily with sandy beaches or cliffs, leaving their marks on the land over time.

She has been deeply moved by the grandeur of nature shaped over millennia, such as majestic caves, and sought to embody the flow of time through natural forms. A candle, which burns and changes in size and shape through combustion, is a tangible object that visually represents the passage of time. I found a resemblance between the melting form of a candle altered by fire and the landscapes shaped by the invisible forces of nature over long periods.

With this inspiration, she began creating works centered on candlesticks, envisioning that the interplay of candles and candlesticks, embodying the flow of time, could provide viewers with moments of meditation and rest.
